Maybe the world is not so complicated….

Let me explain; I have been around with my two little kids a lot this year and spent quite a lot of time in kindergarten and primary school, amongst people who work with children year in year out.

I often ask on picking up a particular child ‘Have they been good?’

Their response and body language when replying has been interesting to watch, and although the words they used may not have been many, it is clear that their world is quite clear cut.

Their working life appears to be broken down into two groups of people:-

Good kids…….and everyone else.

I think that this might also be true regardless of where you come from or where you are headed. I think that it is also true that good kids lose out because so much teacher time is taken up by kids that are….how shall I phrase it…….less than good, say.

So, maybe, just maybe we don’t spend quite enough time talking and listening to our children through all the clutter of everyday life. And maybe, just maybe our children don’t spend quite enough time talking and listening to us either.

So you see, the world is not complicated after all………………….much!
