Common bullfinch….

Common Bullfinch in Norway

Wow, just seen some of these guys in the garden. Two females and a brightly coloured male. Unfortunately I didn’t get the camera as I didn’t want to miss actually watching them! William seems to have inherited my love of seeing lots of different birds in the garden!

Norway is providing lots of interest in the garden, from a pair of deer the other night, well spotted by Julia’s keen eyes to a 10cm long hairy bright orange caterpillar that we still can’t identify! I loved seeing these bullfinches because it reminded me of watching birds with my Dad when I was little and sadly that was probably the last time I saw a Bullfinch in the UK.

Just need to finish off that bird table for the coming hard times for these guys.
Stay well
