    Hi John,

The DW 743 should cut a true 45 degree in table mode, according to the specs from DeWALT.

Just a thought, but have you checked the tilt mechanism? Sometimes this can get clogged up with sawdust, preventing it going 100% across when you tilt it over to 45.

You could also check the calibration, there is a threaded adjustment screw that might be out of kilter. Tilt the blade over and physically check the angle with a sliding bevel or try square at 45 degrees.

Also, (getting warmed up now!) what condition is the blade in? Sometimes, when you are pushing/feeding the timber in against a blunt blade it all twists out of shape due to excessive force going against the blade and thus the angle is thrown out too.

    Just a few thoughts!

Thanks for taking the time to comment John,
