Having won the ‘ovarian’ lottery and being born ‘lucky’, secure and having the benefit of a good education I often wonder why it isn’t enough sometimes. It doesn’t seem to be enough for lots of people similarly privileged either.
Living in Africa and now living in NZ on lower earnings is teaching me that, actually, we can have everything that we want, it is just a question of perspective. If you set your sights on a Ferrari and can never seem to affort it, that may make you unhappy, but if you alter your perspective on what you physically need, rather than what your head is telling you that you ‘need’, ie, want. You might find that, actually, you already have everything.
When did needs and wants get so mixed up?
